Oriana Jiménez, serves as the chief Title IX officer at Rollins College, a private liberal-arts institution and PWI. She has served the institution in multiple capacities over the past 10 years, as a Human Resources professional and currently as the Title IX Coordinator. She also holds a standing position on the institutions’ Diversity Council and has been a member of that organization for 6 years, serving as Co-Chair of the Council from 2013-2015. As Co-chair, she managed the administration of the very first Student Campus Climate Survey on Diversity & Inclusion in 2014. In 2015, she managed the administration of the very first Student Campus Climate Survey on Sexual Violence & Relationships and in 2016, the second iteration of that survey. She was also closely involved in theFaculty/Staff Campus Climate Survey on Diversity & Inclusion in the Spring of 2016. The Office of the Title IX Coordinator leads institutional efforts to prevent and respond to sex and gender-based discrimination within the Rollins community. The Coordinator’s role encompasses institutional education and prevention, legal compliance, and managing the grievance and adjudication procedures on complaints of sex discrimination. The mission of the Office of Title IX at Rollins is to reduce or eliminate barriers to educational opportunity created by sex discrimination through a social justice and prevention model.
